The Art of Being Real – RAMA’s Action Taker Series

Top marketers whose careers have helped Office Max, Nintendo’s Wii and Half Price Books break through the clutter to connect with consumers will share marketing strategies and creative approaches in an afternoon session on Friday, October 24 at CCAD.

The seminar is presented by the Retail Advertising & Marketing Association (RAMA), a division of the National Retail Federation. For more information and registration details go to www.rama-nrf.com/columbus08.

Michael Winnick, managing partner, gravitytank, will talk about meaningfully different: how to connect brands with consumers.

Pat Dermody, director of retail at Leo Burnett/ Arc Worldwide, will discuss the real deal behind the launch of the Nintendo Wii.

Kathy Doyle Thomas, executive vice president at Half Price Books, will tell the whole story behind Half Price Books eco-minded marketing. 

Tim White, chief marketing officer at Charming Shoppes, will host the seminar beginning at 1 p.m. in the Canzani Center auditorium.  A networking reception follows at 4:30 pm.

 

Sign-up begins November 3 for Holiday Student Art Sale

Online sign-up to participate in the holiday student art sale begins November 3.  The first 60 students and 30 alumni / faculty / staff can reserve a spot on a first-come, first-served basis. Spaces usually fill up in the first few days so don’t delay once sign-up opens.

Meanwhile, let your friends, family and associates know that the sale will be Saturday, December 6 in the Loann Crane Center for Design. Hours are 10 am – 3 pm. 

Holiday Student Art Sale Opens at 10 a.m.

Doors will open at 10 am for the next student art sale on Saturday, December 6 in the Loann Crane Center for Design. 

Employees and students will be admitted at no charge until 3 p.m. with a valid CCAD ID. 

Admission proceeds will benefit the general scholarship fund. First Choice admission will be $50 between 10 and 11 am.  General admission will be $5 between 11 am and 3 pm. 

Performance Review Forms

Download the Employee Self-Appraisal Worksheet (424KB PDF), Employee Performance Appraisal Form (27.5KB PDF), and the Management-Executive Performance Form (631KB PDF). Please complete these forms and submit them to the Human Resources Office.

Show your work online!

You can show your work online with your faculty bio.

Submission guidelines:

  • E-mail (Webupdates@ccad.edu) no more than four examples of your art/design work. (If you can’t e-mail the images, you may send a CD via inter-office mail to Sue Haidle, Institutional Advancement.  Don’t send more than four images, and don’t send them on a CD that is irreplaceable).
  • Files must be saved in JPG format, using the “high” or “maximum” quality setting (80%–100% quality).
  • The largest dimension of the image should be 1,000 pixels.
  • Sent images should already be cropped and color corrected to your satisfaction.
  • Along with the images themselves, Provide the title of each piece and (if you wish to include it) the medium used and dimensions of each piece. NOTE:  There is room for only 80 characters for both artist’s name and the title. If you're sending your images on a CD please include the written information in a Word document on the CD as well.

Unless you encounter an emergency situation, you can save time by submitting your facilities maintenance requests online from on-campus computers. (This system is not available from off-campus.)
